Surinamazing Travelon is a Surinamese tour-operator. We specialize in ecologically responsible nature adventure tours in the Guiana Shield rainforest and destinations of Western Suriname. Our products range from short excursions to longer expeditions as well as tours for special interest groups, theme tours and dedicated projects.
Suriname is a young democratic republic. It is one of the Guianas, part of the Guiana Shield situated in the north-east of South America. It is one of the few countries in the world where relatively such a large area of prestine rainforest is still in tact. Especially most of Western Suriname is covered with tropical rainforest.
The Guiana Shield, a botanical wonder, is the vast rainforest area between the mouth of the Orinoco in Venezuela and the mighty Amazon in northern Brasil. The borders of the area are formed by the Orinoco, Cassiguiare, Braza, Rio Negro and Amazon rivers and the Atlantic Ocean. The area comprises the Guiana's (French Guiana, Suriname and Guyana), Venezuela east of the Orinoco and Brasil north of the Amazon.
Surinamazing Travelon offers a number of nature adventure tours in Western Suriname ranging from one day excursions in the surroundings of the agricultural village Wageningen to a 10 day expedition to the Wonotobo rapids. Besides tours to Western Suriname we also offer a number of combination tours to other parts of Suriname such as to Matapica and Commewijne and to the Blommestein lake and the Upper Suriname river.
In general we travel by open boat on the rivers. We believe that the boattrip to our destinations is one of the most important components of our tours. The boat is open in order to fully experience and enjoy the surroundings and to avoid missing sightings of wildlife. The participants own observation is essential for the experience.

Ons produkt assortiment varieert van korte excursies tot langere expedities alsmede tours voor speciale interesse groepen, thema-tours en speciale projecten.

Het is één van de weinige landen in de wereld met relatief zo'n groot gebied met maagdelijk regenwoud nog steeds in takt. Vooral West Suriname is nog grotendeels bedekt met tropisch regenwoud.
De Guiana Schild, een botanisch wonder, is een uitgestrekt regenwoud gebied tussen de monding van de Orinoco in Venezuela en de machtige Amazone in Noord Brazilië. De grenzen van het gebied worden gevormd door de Orinoco, Cassiguiare, Braza, Rio Negro en Amazone rivieren en de Atlantische Oceaan. Het gebied behelst de Guianas (Frans Guiana, Suriname en Guyana), Oost Venezuela en het deel van Brazilië ten noorden van de Amazone.
Surinamazing Travelon biedt een aantal natuur avontuur tours in West Suriname variërend van 1-daagse excursies in de omgeving van het landbouwdorp Wageningen tot een 10-daagse expeditie naar de Wonotobo stroomversnelling. Naast tours in West Suriname bieden wij ook een aantal combinatietours in andere delen van Suriname zoals naar Matapica en Commewijne en naar Tonka Eiland op het Blommensteinmeer en het Marrondorp Gunsi aan de Boven-Suriname Rivier.
Over het algemeen reizen we in open boten op de rivieren. Wij gaan ervan uit dat de bootreis naar onze bestemmingen één van de belangrijkste componenten is van onze toers. De boot is open om zo ten volste de omgeving te ervaren en ervan te genieten en om te voorkomen dat we ontmoetingen met wild missen. De observatie van de deelnemers is essentieel voor de ervaring.
